What tune do you regularly find yourself humming or singing in the shower?

I'm Singin' in the Rain
Just Singin' in the Rain
What a glorious feeling
And I'm happy again
I'll walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
I'm Singin'
Just Singin' in the Rain

Posting in case anyone was interested in seeing it (also posted to my Tumblr). One of my favorites, a sure Christmas classic. Enjoy!

James Stewart in "Mr. Krueger's Christmas"

Is everyone else as excited for Christmas as I am ?! Very! I'm also amazingly greatful for having all I have, this includes money to buy the ones I love presents, to hopefully show how much I care, and to bring a smile on their faces, in remembrance of Christ, which is the whole point of Christmas in the first place :)

Also, Christmas Glee Episode tonight!

So, my Mom had a can of pure pumpkin in the fridge, and I had been toying with the idea of making a pumpkin pie or something pumpkin for Halloween, and then I spotted the picture of this pumpkin roll on the side of the can, which said you could find the recipe online, I was like ooo I'll make that! So I got the ingredients together, bought some cream cheese at the store, and yesterday on Halloween, I made the roll.

Recipe and Photos and VerdictCollapse )

Sugar'd and proud :) I'm sad to see Halloween go, it's way too fun, but I think that's what makes it so special, that it comes but once a year. I still have a pumpkin to carve...

For the past few weeks, just around dinner time, I have heard the ice cream truck come around my neighborhood, playing that same song it always played, a slightly weird, machine produced version of Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer". It reminds me of my childhood. I hope every time I hear it stop and then start again, that some lucky kid is getting ice cream.

Also, I'm watching an old Errol Flynn movie on TCM (specifically "Adventures of Don Juan") and it's really weird...like old color film, that's really bright and kinda campy, which I think actually might make it kind of awesome.

Toy Story 3 was awesome!

That is all.

I'm tired, but I had fun with my friend Bianca today. We went to the sale at Bed Bath and Body works (1 full sized lotion, 1 full body spray, two mini lotions for $13? Yes please), had some Greek food, and then went and saw Toy Story 3, which was so good. It was warm like it has been of course (it's summer after all!) but it was wonderful weather. And it rained early this morning! I thought it was the sprinklers were hitting the side of the house. I'm feeling pretty great :)

I'm going to visit my Mom's side of the family over the 4th of July week, and am already cultivating all the books I'm planning to read on the day long trip. I get a little car sick (luckily I never actually throw up, but it's still not pleasant, I feel like I'm under water the entire time) so CDs will also hopefully get me by (the old van doesn't play burned CDs so I'm going to bring a CD player, battery powered). I'll be honest, I'm not jazzed to go, but I'm trying to make the best of it, especially since it's both my Mom's and Grandma's Birthdays that week. Positive thinking!

Okay, I'm off to try not to melt into a puddle of goo.

My Bro in Law Jon's (he's the short bassist) band, The GooRoos, playing Ska is Dead, in...2005 @ The Boardwalk I think (the parents wouldn't let me go because there was a bar there, kinda ridiculous since I've been there since, but whatevs). They opened for Mustard Plug and The Toasters. They killed it, clearly. Enjoy! :D

That is all :) Pointless post. But not really, you get some cute Ned and Chuck. The last episode will be shown this Saturday, June 13, 10pm on ABC. I've already watched it on YouTube (since been taken down) because I couldn't stand it any longer. It's bittersweet and loose ends are still loose. I am so buying the Second Season when it comes out (already own the 1st, and have been watching it this week and gushing over my love for it).

You can watch Season 1 Episodes and the Last 3 Episodes of Season Two. Hurra!

Two more days! :)

Happy 60th Birthday to my Dad (tomorrow, though we're celebrating today, and tomorrow)!

And thank goodness for Trader Joe's for having lentils.

I have awesome new glasses, because I am blind as a bat. Although I always wear contacts, I thought actually getting some cute frames for a change would be nice, to have the option. My sister says they give me character. I'm cool with that.

EDIT: Grr, stupid link, HERE ARE MY NEW GLASSES.

I have missed him so much these past...months....
But seriously there is a void I'm waiting to be filled, and I won't have to stay up so late to see him, which is a plus. I wonder what his stage will look like, if they'll keep it the same or not, if the humor will be the same (oh please let it be). I wait for the scissor dance.

Oh and also, Conan will be on The Tonight Show, so gonna defiantly watch that!
